A content pillar is one of a small number of themes, typically three to five, that an account posts about consistently.
Why it matters
Pillars remove daily decisions: instead of asking what to post today, you ask what the pillar needs next. They also make performance readable, since comparing pillars is far less noisy than comparing single posts.
Example pillars for a bakery
- Today's bakes (product). 2. How it's made (process). 3. Regulars and reviews (proof). 4. Local events (community). Each week gets at least one post per pillar, and the calendar balances itself.
