Screenshots in a chat thread get lost. In this tutorial you'll send a post for approval with a link that opens without an account, and schedule it once it's approved.
Before you start
- A plan that includes approvals.
- A post saved as a draft in the Planner.
- The person who signs off, and a way to send them a link.
Step 1: Submit the post for approval
Open the draft in the Planner and send it into review.
- Click the post to open it
- Under Approval, click Get approval
- Click Submit for approval
The post now shows Awaiting approval. It can't be scheduled until it's approved, so nothing goes out early.
Step 2: Copy the client link
Click Copy client link. It's a no-login link to approve the post or request changes.
Send it however you already talk to them: email, chat or text.
Step 3: Your client reviews it
They see the post as it will appear, then choose to approve it or request changes.
If they ask for changes they add a note, and the post shows Changes requested with it. Edit the post, then click Resubmit for approval.
Step 4: Schedule the approved post
When the status reads Approved, schedule it or add it to your queue as usual.
Changed your mind? Withdraw from approval takes it out of review and closes the client link. Revoke client link stops a shared link from opening.
Check it worked
- The post shows Approved before you schedule it.
- Opening the client link after you revoke it no longer shows the post.
Where to go next
- Invite your team so colleagues can review inside the workspace.
- Plan and publish your first week if you haven't yet.
